Refúgio Esmeralda is just like that: a gateway of logs, a palm-lined path, a lawn stretching to the hill, and a stream running through the entire property with swings hanging from the trees. There are three independent buildings, a pool with a deck, a playground, and a party room for the whole family in a private property in Itajaí, just minutes from the road yet a world away from the rush.

The property is for guests’ exclusive use, with no shared areas with others. The main house, Casa Figueira, is the heart of the stay, featuring a climate-controlled living room, dining room with a wood-burning stove, fully equipped kitchen, and an enclosed gourmet area with a barbecue grill—perfect for any weather. Next to it is the Oliva Chalet, built entirely of wood, with its own living room, kitchen, and a porch with a hammock. The Magnolia Chalet is smaller and cozier, perfect for a couple with a child or for grandparents to have their own space. The entire setup is designed for large groups who want to be together while maintaining each family’s privacy.

BEDROOMS AND CAPACITY

There are 5 bedrooms distributed across the three buildings, with beds for 12 guests. Bed linens and bath towels are provided for everyone.

In Casa Figueira, you’ll find a double bedroom with air conditioning and a room with a bunk bed, as well as the living room with two sofas—perfect for kids to continue playing late into the evening.

Oliva Chalet has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with a twin bed plus a bunk bed, making it ideal for children or a group of friends.

Magnolia Chalet offers a bedroom with a double bed and a twin bed, air conditioning, and a wardrobe.

For groups of more than 12 people, you must notify us before booking, as beds, linens, and towels are supplied for 12 guests. Beyond that, accommodation depends on guests bringing their own mattresses and a prior adjustment of the rate.

BATHROOMS

The property features 3 full bathrooms—two in Casa Figueira and one in Oliva Chalet. All have showers and towels provided. The event hall has its own half-bath, preventing the need for event guests to use the private guest areas during gatherings.

KITCHENS

Casa Figueira includes a fully equipped kitchen with a four-burner stove with oven, refrigerator, countertop with sink, and complete dish sets, integrated with the dining room featuring a wood-burning stove. Beside it, the enclosed gourmet area offers a large barbecue grill, work counter, bar, and stools to gather around the grilling.

Oliva Chalet has an independent kitchen, also with a four-burner stove with oven, fridge, sink, and a table for six—offering total autonomy for those staying there.

The event hall is equipped with its own kitchen facilities, including a built-in barbecue grill with chimney, wood-burning stove, industrial stove, refrigerator, countertop with sink, and a bar with high stools.

PARKING

Free and spacious parking inside the property, on a gravel patio, with room for multiple vehicles and direct access to all three buildings. Those arriving with a van or with family in two or three cars can park without hassle.

Refúgio Esmeralda is located in Brilhante, a rural area of Itajaí, set among hills and native forest that make it hard to believe you’re so close to the coast. It’s the perfect countryside landscape with the convenience of beach, outlet shopping, and airport less than an hour away.
